This old coat
it just keeps dragging me down.
Patchwork pieces
from where I’ve been.
I can’t see it
but I still feel it now.
Invisible just like the wind.
When it’s gusty
I pull it closer to me.
Still I feel so cold.
Heading west to see
the sun once more

I can see what lies ahead.
It’s so warm I leave my coat behind
for someone else to find,
